The B1 French course takes your skills to an intermediate level. Focus on varied grammatical structures, including subjunctive mood and conditional tenses. Expand your vocabulary to discuss topics like current events and personal experiences. Enhance conversational abilities with debates and detailed discussions. Challenge yourself with complex listening and reading materials, and refine your writing. Cultural topics become richer, offering a deeper dive into French culture.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Understand key points of clear standard speech on familiar matters in work, school, leisure, etc.
- Manage travel situations in French-speaking areas, and enter unprepared into conversation.
- Produce simple connected text on familiar topics or personal interest.
- Describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions, and briefly explain plans or opinions.
- Write simple connected texts on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
- Understand the main points of radio or TV programs on current affairs or topics of personal interest.
- Handle travel situations in French-speaking regions confidently.
- Write personal letters describing experiences, feelings, and events.
