COURSE DESCRIPTION
The B1 German course takes you to an intermediate level. Explore diverse grammatical aspects, including the subjunctive and conditional forms. Enrich your vocabulary to discuss a variety of subjects such as current affairs and personal experiences. Improve your conversational abilities with in-depth discussions and debates. Face challenging listening and reading materials, and refine your writing skills. The course also offers richer cultural content, exploring German-speaking countries’ traditions and history.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
- Deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling in an area where the language is spoken.
- Produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
- Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
- Narrate a story or relate the plot of a book or film and describe your reactions.
- Write personal letters describing experiences and impressions.
- Understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
- Explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
